At Thornhill, we want every child to walk through our doors knowing one simple thing: you belong here.
We are a thriving, inclusive and multicultural community where every child is known, valued and celebrated as the unique individual they are.
There is no single way to be a Thornhill child. Our children are wonderfully different – and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
We are ambitious for our children – academically and personally. We nurture curious minds, confident voices, kind hearts and resilient young people who are ready to have a go and discover just how much they are capable of.
Our staff work as one team, with high expectations and big hearts, because children flourish when they feel known, supported and believed in.
Through quality teaching, strong relationships and genuine partnership with families, we help every child develop the knowledge, character and confidence they need to flourish – at Thornhill, in modern Britain and in the wider world.

At Thornhill, every child matters – and every child achieves.
We know our children well: their strengths, interests, personalities and needs. We celebrate what makes each of them different and help them feel safe, happy and proud to be themselves.
We have high expectations for learning. We encourage children to question, explore, think deeply and embrace challenge – because sometimes the best learning starts with “I’m not sure… yet.”
And while academic success matters, there is much more to growing up than what happens in a lesson. We nurture the whole child, developing confidence, independence, resilience, empathy and self-belief. We help children find their voice, understand themselves and others, make good choices and recognise the difference they can make.
We want them to leave us having achieved well, but also proud of who they are, confident in what they can do, kind to others and excited about who they might become.
